  • Imported Czech Republic Beer

Beer in the Czech Republic has a long and important history. The first brewery is known to have existed in 1118. The city of Brno had the right to brew beer from the 12th century, and the two cities most associated with Czech beer, Plzeň and České Budějovice had breweries in the 13th century.

Nearly all beer brewed in the Czech Republic is bottom-fermenting. This varies in color from pale through amber and dark to black. The strength of the beer ranges from 3-9% abv. Top-fermented wheat beer is also available.

Today, The House of 1,000 Beers maintains an ever-expanding drink roster of hard-to-find Czech Republic beers and steadfast favorites. Not surprisingly, the hardworking people of Pittsburgh, PA have noticed. Our draft club boasts over 1,000 members and customers enjoy being able to mix their own six-packs to go. So, the next time you're thirsty, throwing a party, or tailgating before the big game, stop on by. The House of 1,000 Beers has something for everyone. Guaranteed.
